Bio

Originally from Colorado, Brian began working with glass in 1995 at Hastings College. He has since studied and worked around the world and has been an instructor at institutions such as the Corning Museum of Glass, the Penland School of Craft, the Pilchuck Glass School and the JamFactory. He moved to Australia in 2005, and received his MFA from the Glass Workshop at the Australian National University in 2007.
Brian exhibits nationally and internationally. His work is held in numerous private and public collections, including the National Gallery of Australia and the Toledo Museum of Art, and has been included in New Glass Review three times. Brian was awarded the prestigious Tom Malone Prize by the Art Gallery of Western Australia in 2012. He is currently a resident artist and director on the board of the Canberra Glassworks and is pursuing a PhD in Sculpture at the ANU.
