Philip Watkins

Philip Watkins has been CEO of Desart since 2011, during which time he has been responsible for the overall management of Desart’s program of activities for 45 Desart member Art Centres.

Philip Watkins was born and raised in Alice Springs NT, Philip is part of large extended Arrernte, Waramungu and Larrakia families.

Philip came to Desart bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience from his previous employment as the Artistic and Cultural Director at Tandanya National Aboriginal Cultural Institute Inc., Adelaide; and more than 11 years of experience from a number of management positions within the Central Land Council in Alice Springs.
